European Union agree to grant Euro 7.3 million for Bhutan
Brussels. European Union agrees to grant additional Euro 7.3 million for Bhutan as Prime Minister Lotay Tshering attends EDD 2019.
It was a move that reconfirmed strong partnership between Bhutan and European Union. Additional Euro 7.3 million [Nu. 572.5 million] was added for Water Flagship Programme and enhancing disaster management capacity.
The EDD 2019 theme is “Addressing inequalities: building a world which leaves no one behind”. At the event, Lyonchhen highlighted that addressing inequality is one of the major priorities in for him in Bhutan and that we are committed and working to narrow the gap between the have and have-nots.
Lyonchhen Dr. Lotay Tshering attended the European Development Days (EDD) 2019 at the invitation of the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels, Belgium.
