Nepal Police arrested women protesting near Embassy of China

Kathmandu. Amid Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councilor Wang Yi’s Nepal visit, ten women were arrested by Nepal Police who were protesting near the Chinese Embassy of Baluwatar at Kathmandu, Nepal.

Women protests near Chinese Embassy of Nepal claiming smuggling of Nepalese girls in the name of marriage in China. Protest was organised amid Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s three days Nepal visit.

After protest they were taken into custody after they did slogans on the road against China and Chinese Government, said Ashok Singh, SP of the Kathmandu Police.

According to him, the arrested women were kept in Mahendra Police Club.
