Nepal Government allowed to open partial lockdown
Kathmandu. The Nepal government decided to extend the ongoing nationwide lockdown by allowing to open some industries with preventive method to stop spread of Coronavirus.
Nepal Government continue suspension of international flights on its sky as the number of COVID-19 cases continue to grow in the Himalayan country, a cabinet minister said.
Nepal Government also decided to open partial lockdown by allowing to run industries with applying preventive tools to stop spread of Coronavirus.
Hridayesh Tripathi, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, told that the cabinet decided to extend the deadline of the ongoing lockdown till May 18 and continue suspension of international flights till May 31.
He said that the Nepali government also decided to continue closure of the international border till end of May for cross-border movement of people.
The Himalayan country has been under nationwide lockdown since March 24, suspending ground and air travels, and closing businesses and industries. – Xinhua
