Baby Chakraborty, Kolkata. An extreme decision is about to come on the demands of the Kolkkata’s olice in the RG Kar case. The long-awaited DNA test report from the Central Forensic Science Lab (CFSL) has revealed that it was Sanjay Roy, the alleged civic volunteer, who raped the woman doctor. The report revealed that none other than Sanjay’s semen was found on the victim’s body.
According to the details of the incident, samples were collected from the body of the murdered doctor during the post-mortem. Besides, samples of Sanjay’s clothes worn on the night of the incident, bed sheets of the seminar room, red blanket and hair samples seized from the incident site were sent to the central lab.
Based on the report, the scientists of the Central Forensic Science Lab confirmed that Sanjay Roy was identified as the rapist. After the DNA test report, the CBI started the investigation. While Sanjay’s role is clear in the report, there are huge controversies and rumors in the society. Some doctors initially hinted that there could be a possibility of gang rape apart from rape, leading to a public outcry. In such a situation CBI investigating officers need evidence admissible in court.
The CFSL report said that the CBI now has a few more decisions to make to unravel other complications in the RG Kar case. The outcome of the CBI investigation is yet to be determined, but the DNA test results against Sanjay Roy are incriminating.
