CM Bhupesh Baghel said land acquired for Tata plant will be returned to farmers

Raipur. The farmers whose land was acquired in the Lohandiguda area of ​​the Bastar district, for the Tata Steel Plant, will be given back their land soon.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed the officials to complete the necessary process for this and bring the proposal in the forthcoming meeting of the Council of Ministers, referring to his promise made to the farmers.

It is notable that along with Shri Baghel, Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi also assured the farmers of Lohandiguda area during Bastar migration that their acquired land would be brought back to them.

It has been promised to the farmers of the state that in the agricultural land acquired for industrial use, no project has been set up within 5 years from the date of its acquisition, it will be returned to the farmers.

Baghel has asked officials to start the process immediately for the Tata Steel Plant in Bastar district to return the acquired land of 10 villages to the farmers, according to this point in the Jan Declaration. This land was acquired for the Tata plant in February 2008 and December 2008.

Among the villages in which the land was acquired for the plant were included in village Chhindgaon, Gram Kumhali, Chhindgaon, Beliapal, Badanji, Dabpal, Largepoda, Balar and Sirisguda and under village Tehargaon, under Tehsil Lohandiguda village Tarchaguda. No industry has been established by this related company.
