Former Botswana President Khama challenged China for Tibetans

Riga. Former President of Botswana Ian Khama challenge to the Chinese government for united support to the tibetans and their cause.

Former president Khama made a statement for the 7th World Parliamentarians Convention on Tibet taking place in Riga, Latvia from 7-10 May.

In defying the Chinese government which has urged the Botswana government to tell its citizens to respect the One China Policy Former president of the African state Botswana called for united efforts to support Tibetans.

“Just as the progressive world united to end apartheid in South Africa, former President appeals for united efforts to support the objectives of the Central Tibet Administration and the Tibetan people they represent,” statement issued by Khama’s office has said.
