Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">declared victory over Israel and said the United States was dealt a blow during the conflict, in a televised message aired Thursday\u2014his first public remarks since a ceasefire took effect on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Khamenei said Israel was \u201ccrushed\u201d under Iranian strikes and claimed the US failed to achieve its goals after entering the conflict to protect its ally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201cThe Zionist regime, with all its noise and claims, was nearly brought to its knees,\u201d he said, adding that the United States \u201cgained nothing\u201d and received \u201ca harsh slap\u201d in return.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The setting of Thursday\u2019s video appeared identical to his previous wartime address. Iran International previously reported that Khamenei and his family were moved to a secure underground bunker in Lavizan, north of Tehran, shortly after the conflict began.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><b>Iran\u2019s supreme leader says US ultimately seeks &#8216;surrender and defeat of Iran&#8217;<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">In his message, Khamenei responded to recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, who said Iran must \u201csurrender.\u201d Khamenei dismissed the demand as insulting and claimed it revealed the true objective of US policy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Khamenei said Trump\u2019s remarks revealed that the issue was not Iran\u2019s nuclear program or missile development, but rather a broader effort to force the Islamic Republic into submission. \u201cIt\u2019s no longer about enrichment or missiles,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s about surrender. That\u2019s what they want.\u201d He added that such language was \u201cbeneath the dignity of a president\u201d and would only strengthen Iran\u2019s resolve. \u201cA country with our history and culture will never accept this kind of humiliation,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Last week, Trump wrote on Truth Social that the US knew Khamenei\u2019s location and called him an \u201ceasy target,\u201d adding, \u201cWe are not going to take him out\u2014at least not for now.\u201d He also warned that American patience was \u201cwearing thin.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Days later, Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. Speaking afterward, he appeared to soften his tone, saying, \u201cRegime change takes chaos, and ideally, we don&#8217;t want to see so much chaos, so we&#8217;ll see how it does.\u201d He added that the US is preparing for a new round of talks with Iran next week.<\/span><br \/>\n<!--\/data\/user\/0\/com.samsung.android.app.notes\/files\/clipdata\/clipdata_bodytext_250626_185129_213.sdocx--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tehran.
