Washington. President Donald Trump told ABC News on Sunday that if Iran doesn’t make a peace deal in 48 hours, “we’re blowing up the whole country.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In a phone interview with ABC News’ senior political correspondent Rachel Scott, Trump said he expects the Iranian government to make a deal in “days, not weeks.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“If it happens, it happens. And if it doesn’t, we’re blowing up the whole country,” Trump said. “We’re blowing up,\u00a0as I said, it’s going to be bridge day and it’s going to be power plant day in the country of Iran.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump said “very little” is “off limits” if no deal is made. Asked if that meant targets would include civilian infrastructure, Trump replied, “I don’t want to talk about that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump also said he hasn’t ruled out sending ground troops to Iran. <\/span>“I don’t think it’s necessary, but I don’t rule anything out,” Trump said.<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked if he’ll extend the deadline to give Iran more time to make a peace deal, Trump said, “They have plenty of time to make a deal.” <\/span><\/p>\n
