Kabul. According to local sources in Helmand, the Taliban have arrested a private TV reporter named Zawan Takal in the province.

Zawan Takal is a local journalist in Helmand and currently works for a private television station called Helaa.

The Taliban’s Director of Information and Culture in Helmand says the young man was arrested on suspicion of smuggling drugs into a Helmand prison.

He added that the reporter wanted to take drugs to the relatives of the detainees in the Helmand prison who were detained by the Taliban during a search.

The Taliban have recently continued to arrest the journalists in various parts of Afghanistan.
