26th Sindhu Darshan Utsav Celebrated in Leh : Dr. Jolly

Led by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Pracharak Indresh Kumar, 1850 devotees from all states of India and 12 overseas nations participated. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm.

Leh, Ladakh.Today the 26th Sindhu Darshan Utsav was celebrated with great pomp at the Indus Valley in Leh Ladakh. Taking forward the theme of “Unity & Integrity” of the nation and the concept of “Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat”, this national Sindhu festival was inaugurated by Union Territory of Leh-Ladakh Lieutenant Governor His Excellency Radha Krishna Mathur.

Led by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Pracharak Indresh Kumar, 1850 devotees from all states of India and 12 overseas nations participated. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm. Thousands of countrymen danced to the tunes of patriotic songs & music while waving the national tricolor of India aloft.

A postage stamp on Sindhu Darshan was also released by the Union Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Indian National Tri Color Flag was also hoisted by RSS Pracharak Indresh Kumar at the Sindhu ghat.

In this program Shankaracharya Jagadguru Sri Sri 1008 Vasudeva Nand Saraswati of Jyotirmath, Buddhist religious leader 8th Palga Rinpoche, Yudhishthir famed actor of Mahabharata TV Serial & Himalaya Parivar National President Gajendra Chauhan, famous Sindhi Guru Shadani Darbar Raipur Sant Yudhishtar Lal, Leh Member of Parliament Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Uttar Pradesh Minister Kapil Agarwal, Haryana Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar and former Delhi MLA & President Delhi Study Group Dr. Vijay Jolly & Vikram Randhawa Ex MLC Jammu Kashmir participated.

The program was conducted by General Secretary Sindhu Darshan Yatra Utsav Samiti Bhupendra Kansal.

In the year 1997, then Home Minister of India Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji initiated Sindhu Darshan Utsav. In the year 2000 then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji also visited here. Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi had offered prayers at the Sindhu river in Leh. And later President of India Ram Nath Kovind also offered prayers at Sindhu ghat.

Today on 24thJune 2022,while addressing the Sindhu Darshan Yatra festival, Union Territory Leh Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Radha Krishna Mathur ji, as Chief Guest, praised the Sindhu Festival for promoting religious and cultural tourism in this crucial border state of India.

He acknowledged that this program generates business and employment for local youth not only in Ladakh but also in Jammu Kashmir. He assured full support of the local administration for this great & grand festival successfully organized during the past 25 years and this year too.
