Taliban released local journalist of Afghanistan after ten days

SAARC Journalist Forum Afghanistan Chapter had demanded with Taliban to release Zawan Takal unconditionally before few days.

Kabul, Sadiqullah Popal. A local journalist in Helmand who was detained by the Taliban about ten days ago without any charges was released from prison today.

According to local sources in Helmand, the Taliban have arrested a private TV reporter named Zawan Takal in the province.

Zawan Takal is a local journalist in Helmand and currently works for a private television station called Helaa.

The Taliban’s director of information and culture in Helmand says the young man was arrested on suspicion of smuggling drugs into a Helmand prison.

SAARC Journalist Forum Afghanistan Chapter had demanded with Taliban to release Zawan Takal unconditionally before few days.
