New York. Arjun Prasad Mainali has proposed to establish the SAARC Journalists Award every year annually in his economic support. Mainali is known as a renowned nepalese blood donor who residing in US. He want to establish the Award personally to the SAARC Journalists of worth US$ 300.
He proposed SAARC Journalists Forum to establish the SAARC Journalists Award in his personal initiation. During conversation with President of SJF Raju Lama he said, as the amount of award is small this help to promote journalists of SAARC region to write a news for poor, single and starving people and communities of South Asia.
He wrote in the Facebook group of SAARC Journalists Forum,” First of all, congratulations to you newly elected officers. I wish you success in your tenure. I would like to establish/provide an annual award of US$300 to an outstanding journalist who regularly brings news to the general public about the extremely poor, single and starving communities or individuals in various remote areas of the SAARC region.”
Mainali further wrote, “But those journalists must have donated blood at least once a year for the past 3 years.The award will be presented by World Blood Donor Arjun Mainali Incorporate, USA to the SAARC Journalists Forum three months before the annual conference.”
Mainali urge to provide this award to the journalists from SJF annually during the international journalists conference and he wish that this award will help to encourage people for the blood donation in South Asian countries.
