New Delhi. A one-day lecture on “Padma Bhushan Ram Vilas Paswan: Political and Social Contributions” was organized at Constitution Club of India, Delhi. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Government of India Pashupati Kumar Paras who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The subject was reflected by Ramji Singh, President Labour Cell and the key note statement was made by E. Lalan Kumar, MLA Bihar.
Nawada MP Chandan Singh shared his experiences and said that Ram Vilas Paswan was not a leader of one caste but of the entire community. Union Minister and Ram Vilas Paswan’s younger brother Pashupati Kumar Paras and the leaders of the alliance also echoed the voice of Pashupati Paras and demanded that Ram Vilas Paswan be given Bharat Ratna.
Bihar BJP MLA Eng Lalan Paswan said that in the coming session of Bihar Legislative Assembly, we will request the Bihar government should approve the name of Shri Ram Vilas Paswan for Bharat Ratna and send it to the Government of India. Member of Legislative Council from Bihar, Prof. Sanjay Paswan said that Ram Vilas Paswan is not a person, he is an idea, he was an institution in itself. For India, he was no less than a gem, we demand that he should get Bharat Ratna. A book edited by Sanjay Paswan and Aditi Narayan was also released on the occasion and speakers also gave their statements on it. The programme was presided over by H.L. Dusadh, Writer, Editor, Bahujan Diversity Mission, and thanked Ram Vilas Paswan for making his suggestions a part of the manifesto.
In his statement, Prince Raj MP and President of Bihar State RLJP, narrated the stories of some sweet memories and how his elder father i.e. Ram Vilas Paswan may have been in such a big post, but when grandparents used to say something, he never even raised his eyes to them. Speaking on the issue of servants and government, he said that our elder father chose to be a government and that is why he got the stature under whose shadow we all grew up, today there is hardly any family in India whose members are MPs from one family and this was possible only by his decision to become a government.
