New Delhi. The country’s well-known leader, journalist and social worker Anita Chandpuri has been appointed as the advisor of SAARC Journalist Forum Jammu and Kashmir Chapter. SAARC Journalist Forum is an organization of journalists from eight countries and also advocates the interests of journalists living in other countries of the world.
The organization has continuously worked in the interest of journalists in the country and abroad. It raised voice against attacks and threats on journalists and journalism in any corner of the world. This organization is the first organization in the world to include small and big journalists without any discrimination. Considering the geographical extent of India, the states were divided into chapters and an advisor was appointed in each state.Anita Chandpuri of Jammu and Kashmir, who is a journalist, social worker and associated with Talking News, a newspaper published from Delhi. International President of SAARC Journalist Forum, Raju Lama has expressed happiness over her appointment and expressed hope that Anita will play her role in strengthening the organization in future. Secretary General of SJF Md Abdur Rahman also congratulated her and said that with the appointment of Anita Chandpuri, the organization will expand and the fight for the interests of journalists in the state will further intensify.
President of SAARC Journalist Forum India Chapter Anirudh Sudhanshu also described her appointment as important for the organization and said that this appointment is not only beneficial for the organization but also helps in maintaining dialogue between SAARC Journalist Forum and the journalists of Jammu and Kashmir.
