President Bhandari inaugurated historical pond of Nepal Ranipokhari today

Kathmandu. President Bidya Devi Bhandari today inaugurated the historical pond Ranipokhari. It is reconstructed after it was destroyed during devastated earthquake gone in Nepal at 2015.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was present at the inauguration ceremony along with Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya and Deputy Mayor Hari Prabha Khadgi.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Bhandari assured that the reconstruction of other monuments damaged by the earthquake would be completed soon.

After the inauguration, President Bhandari, PM Oli along with other officials visited the temple located at the center of the pond.

Ranipokhari is one of historical monuments of Nepal damaged by the devastating 2015 earthquake. It is lies at the heart of Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal.

The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) had started the reconstruction of pond last year. Pond was built by King Pratap Malla.
