Kathmandu. Government has lifted the ban on the Communist Party of Nepal led by Biplav. Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday evening lifted the ban.
Government had banned the NCP Biplab group from March 11, 2008 after it’s violent activities. According to the one Minister the ban on the revolutionary group has been lifted as per the three-point agreement reached this morning.
He said that the release of the leaders and cadres of the jailed group would be formally announced through a formal program on Friday afternoon. He informed that the cabinet meeting also approved the bilateral agreement reached this morning.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and General Secretary of the NCP Biplav group Netra Bikram Chand are scheduled to address the program on Friday.
