Vehicles have been banned for operating in the Kathmandu Valley

A meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur held on Tuesday has banned the operation of public and private vehicles after 8 pm with effect from Thursday, said Bhaktapur Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai.

Kathmandu. Vehicles have been banned from operating in the Kathmandu Valley at night with effect from today.

A meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur held on Tuesday has banned the operation of public and private vehicles after 8 pm with effect from Thursday, said Bhaktapur Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai.

The administration has tightened the risk of covid infection in Kathmandu Valley. Bhattarai said that even though the movement of vehicles during night time has been tightened, the operation of essential vehicles has not been stopped.

The injunction issued in the Kathmandu Valley has been extended till August 25.
