NFNJ with SJF ready to host Second International Mother Tongue Journalist Conference

President of SAARC Journalist Forum Raju Lama informed that more than 50 journalists from South Asian countries will attend the conference during the press conference.

Kathmandu. National Forum for Newar Journalists collaboration with SAARC Journalist Forum is ready to host 2nd International Mother Tongue Journalist Conference in Kathmandu. “Our preparations has been totally completed and we are ready to host 2nd International Mother Tongue Journalist Conference coming June 13 and 14, 2025 in Kathmandu,” said Nripendra Lal Shrestha at press conference. President of SAARC Journalist Forum Raju Lama informed that more than 50 journalists from South Asian countries will attend the conference during the press conference. Secretary General of FONIJ Sameer Balami and President of organizing committee Sunil Maharjan also informed that they have completed all the possible arrangements to host conference. Conference will be inaugurated on 13 June at National Nature Conservation Trust in Lalitpur from Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire along with Communication Minister Prithivi Subba Gurung and valedictory program will be done on 14th June in Thimi Banquet, Bhaktapur in the presence of DPM Prakash Man Singh. During conference different pannel discussions will be organised in various topics in the presence of media personnel and dignitaries concern on challenges, opportunities and possibilities of mother tongue  journalism in Nepal, South Asia and in international practices.In the conference five journalists from Nepal, India and Bangladesh will be honoured for their contribution on mother tounge journalism. NFNJ collaboration with SJF and FONIJ has already hosted First International Mother Tongue Journalist Conference last year in 2024.
