Rasuwa. The flood in the Bhotekoshi River due to incessant rains towards neighboring China has washed away the Miteri Bridge connecting Nepal and China.

Rasuwa Chief District Officer Arjun Poudel informed that the bridge was washed away by the flood last night. The flood that came around 3 am has severed the road connection from Rasuwa to China.

Similarly, vehicles kept at the customs have also been washed away, but the statistics on how many were washed away are yet to come, he said.

There is no information about human casualties so far, but he said that people may be trapped.

The administration has urged people in the lower coastal areas to be vigilant as the water flow in the river has continued to rise.

Similarly, those living along the riverbanks have been asked to be careful as there is a risk of flooding in the Trishuli River as well.
