Kathmandu. US Army Lieutenant General Joel Vowell has arrived in Nepal. As per the pre-scheduled schedule, Lieutenant General Joel Vowell, Deputy Commanding General of the US Army Pacific Command (USARPAC), arrived in Kathmandu today.
The Nepali Army has stated that he will remain in Nepal until 17 March. In addition to the official meeting, he will also visit the Nepali Army’s Birendra Peacekeeping Training Center in Panchkhal.
The Nepali Army has expressed its belief that such a visit will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries and will contribute on humanitarian assistance, disaster management and international peacekeeping operations.
As preparation of new government in Nepal is ongoing after general election, Vowell’s Nepal visit has been noticed as curiously.
