Abu Dhabi.The government is issuing the National Identity Card (NID) through the local embassy to the expatriate Bangladeshis in the UAE after three years of receiving their application for inclusion in the voter list. The process of issuing identity cards to expatriates is progressing at a fast pace. Yesterday, Monday, June 20, 2023, such a scene was seen when visiting the Dubai Consulate. In this program, through the Abu Dhabi Embassy and Dubai Consulate, initially the new national identity card and later the amendment of the old identity card and other services are continuing. A technical team of 18 members of the Election Commission started its activities in the United Arab Emirates by training the related staff of the embassy.
Yesterday, Consul General of Dubai Consulate BM Jamal Hossain said in an exchange meeting with the delegation of the SAARC Journalist Forum in the Emirate, “Issuance of national identity cards is of special importance among the various services of expatriates.
