NIRF Ranking 2024: DU Jumped 5 places in the top 10 list

Yogesh Singh said that last year also DU had moved up two places and got 11th position in the university category at the national level. Giving further information, the Vice Chancellor said that this time in the overall ranking also DU has jumped 7 places and got 15th position.

Anirudha Sudhanshu, New Delhi. In the list of National Institutional Ranking Framework 2024 released by the Union Ministry of Education, University of Delhi (DU) has improved 5 places this time as compared to last year and has got the sixth position. Giving information in this regard, DU Vice Chancellor Prof.

Yogesh Singh said that last year also DU had moved up two places and got 11th position in the university category at the national level. Giving further information, the Vice Chancellor said that this time in the overall ranking also DU has jumped 7 places and got 15th position.

Prof. Yogesh Singh congratulated everyone for this and said that this is the result of teamwork and hard work. Giving detailed information, the Vice Chancellor said that in the NIRF 2024 list, 6 colleges are from University of Delhi among the top 10 colleges of the country. Among these, the first 3 places have been bagged by colleges of DU. He told that in the list of colleges across the country, DU’s Hindu College has been ranked first.

Along with this, Miranda House has been ranked second and St. Stephen’s College has been ranked third. He told that DU’s Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College has been ranked 5th and Kirori Mal College has been ranked 9th and Lady Shri Ram College for Women has been ranked 10th.

Giving information about the overall ranking, the Vice Chancellor said that DU has also made significant improvement in this category. This time the overall rank of DU is 15th, whereas last year it had improved by one point to reach 22nd position. He told that in the Research Institute category also, DU has improved by 3 places and has secured 14th position this time.

Last year DU was ranked 17th in this category. Congratulating all the stakeholders for these achievements, the Vice Chancellor said that this is the result of collective efforts of faculty, students, principals, staff and all the people associated with DU. The Vice Chancellor expressed hope that next year University of Delhi and all the colleges affiliated to it will give even better results and set records in all categories.
