Sixth BIMSTEC Summit Begins in Bangkok

The summit is scheduled to be addressed today by the heads of government of the member countries, including Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Bangkok. The sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) has begun. The BIMSTEC summit began with a group photo session of the heads of government of the member countries and the tabulation of the agenda at the Hotel Sadgrila in Bangkok.

The leaders of the delegations of the member countries were welcomed by the Prime Minister of the host country, Thailand, Peth Thong Than Shinawatra. The summit is scheduled to be addressed today by the heads of government of the member countries, including Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

After the signing of the ‘BIMSTEC Maritime Transport Cooperation’ at the summit, the Prime Ministers (leaders of the delegations) of the member countries Thailand, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal and Sri Lanka will address the Summit.
