Kathmandu. The 90th birthday of Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader His Holiness Dalai Lama has been celebrated in Nepal with grand celebration.
The Tibetan community in Nepal celebrated the birth anniversary of the Dalai Lama with a special ceremony at the Handicraft Center, Ekantakuna, in Jawalakhel.
The program began with the cutting of a cake, which honored the long and prosperous life of the Tibetan spiritual leader.
In addition, various cultural programs were organized according to Tibetan tradition. The Tibetan national anthem and the Nepali national anthem were also performed during the program.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the local Tibetan community, religious leaders and representatives of major Tibetan organizations in Nepal.
Special prayers were also offered for the long life and health of the Tibetan spiritual leader.
