Patna. Organized by the Differently Abled Cricket Association of Bihar, the Bihar Disabled Cricket Championship was held at the NTPC Barh Cricket Ground on November 15-16. Three teams, Bihar Masters, Bihar Seniors, and Bihar Youngsters, were formed from players selected from various districts across the state. Yesterday, the opening match was played between Bihar Seniors and Bihar Youngsters. Bittu Kumar displayed a brilliant all-round performance for Bihar Seniors, scoring 40 runs and taking 3 wickets, helping his team Bihar Seniors win the match by 23 runs.
In the second match of the day, Bihar Masters won by 6 wickets, dismissing Bihar Youngsters cheaply, thanks to Mohan Kumar’s brilliant bowling (3 overs, 6 runs, 6 wickets). The final match was played on Sunday between Bihar Senior and Bihar Master, in which Bihar Senior won the championship by defeating Bihar Master by 5 wickets, thanks to the all-round performance of Pankaj Kumar. Bittu Kumar, Mohan Kumar, Pankaj Kumar were the Man of the Match in the league match, and Bittu Kumar was declared the best player of the tournament.
NTPC Barh’s Executive Director G. Srinivas Rao, along with NTPC Barh officials and Differently Abled Cricket Association of Bihar President Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Gopalganj District President Anand Kumar, and North Bihar Zone Secretary Kumar Kartikeya Anand were present as the chief guests of the final match. On the occasion of this excellent event, Association President Rakesh Kumar Gupta expressed his gratitude to NTPC Barh’s Executive Director G. Srinivas Rao, saying that all the players of differently abled cricket express their gratitude to him for his commendable contribution. His contribution is invaluable to our league.
For this excellent event, the association’s secretary Ranjit Kumar praised the hard work of the team’s head coach Abhay Kumar, captain Asit Kumar Singh and thanked the NTPC Barh officials for their wholehearted cooperation in organizing this championship and requested for further cooperation in promoting the sports of differently abled players.
Differently Abled Cricket Association Council of India (DCCI) General Secretary Ravi Chauhan, through his communication, also praised the Executive Director of NTPC Barh, G Srinivas Rao and officials for their cooperation in encouraging the differently abled cricket players and development of their sports and highly appreciated the association for their hard work.
