Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on chaired a high level meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch and senior officials to thoroughly review evolving regional and global dynamics, as well as Pakistan’s upcoming international engagements.
The meeting provided a comprehensive assessment of the current international situation, including key developments affecting peace and stability in the region. During the in-depth discussions, DPM/FM Dar appreciated the ongoing diplomatic efforts of the Foreign Office and directed the officials to adopt a more active, policy-driven strategic approach towards all priority foreign policy issues.
Emphasizing the critical role of dialogue and diplomacy, Senator Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to playing a constructive role in addressing regional challenges. He underscored the need for proactive and sustained engagement, guided by clarity of purpose, strategic foresight, well-defined objectives, and a strong focus on delivering tangible results.

The participants also discussed strategies for effective coordination ahead of important multilateral and bilateral forums. The Foreign Secretary and senior officers briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on recent diplomatic initiatives and the implementation of foreign policy directives.
This meeting reflects the government’s continued emphasis on a dynamic and result-oriented foreign policy amid a complex regional and global environment. Officials stated that Pakistan will maintain its principled stance on issues of national interest while contributing positively to regional harmony.
The Foreign Office is expected to further intensify diplomatic outreach in line with the directions issued during the meeting.
