Paris, June 14, 2026 – Narendra Modi met Emmanuel Macron in Nice, France, during his official visit ahead of the G7 Summit. Macron welcomed Modi warmly as the two leaders held talks aimed at strengthening the India–France strategic partnership.
The discussions focused on key areas including defense cooperation, civil nuclear energy, technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, and economic ties. Both leaders also jointly inaugurated the Bharat Innovates 2026 conclave, a major event bringing together startups, investors, researchers, and technology leaders from India and France.
The meeting comes as India and France seek deeper collaboration in emerging technologies and global security issues. Modi’s visit is also part of a broader European tour that includes participation in the G7 Summit, where he is expected to meet several world leaders.
