Kathmandu. Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has instructed the Armed Police Force to make necessary security plan for the mid-term elections to be held in Baishakh.
Home Minister Thapa on Tuesday congratulated the officers promoted from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) at the Home Ministry and directed them to get involved in the preparations for the election.
Home Minister Thapa said, “You should join hands to conduct the election in a clean, fair and peaceful manner. If there is a lack of necessary resources, please inform the ministry. There will be no shortage.”
Praising the role being played by the Armed Police Force in the areas of peace and security, border security and disaster management, Home Minister Thapa directed to take action as per the reform action plan prepared by the Home Ministry.
He said, “Work in the field with high morale, you will get support and protection from the Home Ministry in case of any challenge.”
Stating that the responsibilities of the promoted officers have increased, Home Minister Thapa said, “Make maximum use of the experience so far and work with the interest of the nation and the people at the center.”
Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (IGP) Shailendra Khanal was also present on the occasion.
