SJF congratulates Tashi Dema as a newly elected President of JAB

President of SAARC Journalists Forum Raju Lama and General Secretary Md Abdur Rahman extended heartiest congratulations to the newly elected President Tashi Dema and Former President Rinzin Wangchuck for their successful tenure so far.

Thimpu. Tashi Dema has been elected as a President of Journalists Association of Bhutan. She is the first historical women journalist who has elected as a President of JAB.

Elections completed at the annual general meeting of the Journalists Association of Bhutan. She was the only candidate for the presidency of the organization so yes/no vote was given through EVM and postal ballot.

Rinzin Wangchuck, Former President from Kuensel was the longest serving President of the JAB. He was re-elected for two terms.Wangchuk did not contest this time, saying he liked to take advantage of young journalists. The President of the JAB was elected for three years.

Rinzin Wangchuck, Former President of Journalists Association of Bhutan is a Founder Senior Executive Member of the SAARC Journalists Forum.
