New Delhi. A delegation of NDTF led by President Prof A K Bhagi, General Secretary Prof V S Negi along with office bearers met Member of Parliament, Shri Manoj Tiwari and demanded to take over 32 colleges by University of Delhi which are fully funded and maintained by AAP led Delhi Government.

Prof Bhagi apprised Hon’ble MP about the Absorption of Ad-hoc teachers, illegal closure of College of Arts and demanded release of EWS teaching positions.

Prof Bhagi informed the Hon’ble MP in detail about the on going crisis of grant/fund cut in the 12 Colleges of University of Delhi which are fully funded and 16+4 colleges which are maintained by Aam Aadmi Party led Delhi Government.

This fund cut, in all 32 college, has resulted in non payment of salaries, medical bills, arrears etc to teaching and non teaching employees which has ruined the aspirations of these families.

Prof Bhagi further added that New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has the provision of constituent colleges under university and Delhi University being a Central University can take over these 32 colleges to maintain smoothly and remove all the hurdles created by AAP led Delhi Government.

Prof Bhagi presented various cases to MP Manoj Tiwari to prove that how Delhi Government has failed in releasing grant to these colleges on time and how it has ruined and spoiled the lives of the employees. He told that take over of 32 colleges by Delhi University is the only solution left after the step motherly treatment done by Kejriwal Government.

NDTF General Secretary Prof V S Negi informed to Shri Tiwari that Kejriwal led Delhi Government has not just failed in full filling his promise of opening new colleges but also failed in maintaining the infrastructure and development of these 12 colleges.

These colleges lack building infrastructure, laboratory and basic amenities like Girls Common room, washroom etc. He also raised issue of closure of College of Arts and requested him to intervene in this matter as it is a clear violation of territorial rights.

Hon’ble MP Shri Manoj Tiwari has assured the delegation to raise this issue in the Parliament as well as with LG to resolve these issues. He also requested the NDTF leadership to apprise him such issues on regular basis.

Others who were part of NDTF delegation were Vice Presidents- Dr Pradyumn Rana, Dr Bijender Kumar, Prof Saloni Gupta, Secretary-Prof H K Singh and Dr Manoj Kain, Academic Council Members Sudershan Kumar. DUTA Executive members, Looke Kumari, Dr Sanjay Verma, Prof Jai Vinod and Dr K M Vats were  also part of the delegation.
