Dhaka. A general meeting organized by the Bangladesh Chapter of SAARC Journalist Forum was held at the organization’s office in Dhaka Uttara Sunday at 4 pm.Md. Abdur Rahman, Secretary General of the organization’s central committee, was present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Chapter General Secretary Najma Sultana Neela, moderated by MA Akram.
Senior leaders of Bangladesh Chapter Lion AZM Mainul Islam, Md. Mahbubul Haque Mahbub, Riazul Islam Bachchu, Muktadul Palawan, Tapu Ghoshal, Aminul Islam Ripon were also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed how to make the “South Asia Media Summit-2024” a success. This is the first largest international media conference to be held in Bangladesh. “Sixth South Asia Media Summit-2024” will be held in Dhaka with the arrival of more than 100 journalists from eight South Asian SAARC countries.SAARC Journalist Forum Central Committee Secretary General Md. Abdur Rahman said, “‘SAARC Journalist Forum has already become an international organization with international reputation. We all have to work to spread its reputation in Bangladesh. As proud members of SAARC Journalists Forum, we will all take this organization forward.”
At the end of the meeting, Professor Mijanur Rahman was present as the guest of honour. Professor Mizanur Rahman is the founding chairman of the Association for Good Governance in Bangladesh. In the meeting, he presented a book written on climate and environment to the leaders of the Bangladesh chapter.
