Dhaka. Mohammad Ali Arafat MP has been appointed as the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting in the newly formed cabinet of Bangladesh.
Mohammad Ali Arafat was elected Member of Parliament from Dhaka-17 Constituency in the 12th National Parliament Election held on January 7. Before that, he was elected a member of parliament in the eleventh national parliament by-election.
Mohammad Ali Arafat is a Bangladeshi academic and Awami League politician. Besides, he is a syndicate member and chief advisor to the board of trustees of the Canadian University of Bangladesh. He founded the Suchinta Foundation.
President of the SJF Central Committee Raju Lama and Secretary General Md. Abdur Rahman congratulated the newly appointed Minister of State for Information of Bangladesh, Mohammad Ali Arafat, on behalf of SAARC Journalists Forum, an international organization of journalists in South Asia.
