New Delhi. A group of 15 journalists leading by Senior Journalist of South Asia and executive member Rinzin Wangchuk from Bhutan and two seasoned journalists from Israel is on “International Election Visitors’ Programme” organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, India.During the familiarization tour, the delegates will witness election preparedness, dispatch of polling parties and other logistic arrangements in Goa.
They will also visit various polling stations to see mock poll and actual polling.
Wangchuk met Randhir Jaiswal, Joint Secretary (XP) and Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India during the dinner hosted for the journalists from Bhutan and Israel at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi, on May 3, 2024.
Likewise, this year Wangchuk has been awarded by Annual Journalism Award in Bhutan on his contribution on media and journalism in Bhutan during May 3, World Press Freedom day.
