Washington. Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House Wednesday in Washington, D.C, during his visit to the United States to attend the NATO 75th anniversary summit, July 10, 2024.

Newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has made his maiden appearance on the international stage with a strong signal of support for Ukraine and a pat on the back from President Joe Biden.

After a full day of meetings Wednesday at the NATO summit in Washington, Starmer met Biden at the White House, where he and the president extolled the U.S.-British special relationship.

In his international debut, Starmer reaffirmed Britain’s full-throated backing for Kyiv as it battles Russia’s invasion and found time to watch England beat the Netherlands to make it into the European Championship soccer final this weekend. (AP)
