Durgotsava, the best Bengali festival, has already been announced by the state government to increase the amount of financial support for public and club-based pujas, and this time Durga Puja training camp took place today in the premises of Phullara Mandir, Satipeeth, Lovepur, one of Birbhum.
The training camp was organized by Pai Kanumohini Chatushpati of Ilambazar. However, Ishwari Phullara Satipeeth Management Committee has taken the responsibility of managing the great Yajna in the holy land. The training camp was formally inaugurated by Pandit Ashok Kumar Banerjee, State Agriculture Minister Sobhan Deb Chattopadhyay, Bolpur MP Asit Kumar Mal and Lovepur MLA Abhijit Sinha were present.
Agriculture Minister Sobhan Deb Chattopadhyay said, ‘Many people do puja but it is necessary to have knowledge about the true meaning of Sanskrit verses and the process of puja, and for that purpose the organization of Durga Puja training camp, which certainly deserves appreciation’.
But naturally, when asked about the RG Kar movement, Shobhan Dev Chattopadhyay, supporting the doctors’ movement, said, ‘It is necessary to look at the medical field so that there is no impact. Besides, he strongly opposed the politicization of the movement.
