Hongkong. Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Foreign Minister Wang Yi of the People’s Republic of China held a bilateral meeting in Hong Kong today.
The meeting was held between Minister Dr. Rana, who is in Hong Kong, China’s Special Administrative Region, to participate as an observer at the signing ceremony of the Convention on the Establishment of an International Organization for Mediation at the invitation of Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi.
During the cordial meeting, discussions were held on Nepal-China relations, mutual interests, common interests and concerns, as well as the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Nepal-China diplomatic relations, which both countries are celebrating this year.
During the meeting, Minister Dr. Rana mentioned that Nepal has been giving importance to its relations with China and thanked the Chinese government and people through Foreign Minister Wang for the long-standing cooperation and coordination that China has been providing in the economic and social development of Nepal as a good friend.
Minister Dr. Rana also said that Nepal expects China’s continued support in various sectors including economic, technical, technology transfer, and foreign direct investment in the coming days.
