Mount Abu. Assistant Professor of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Jammu, Dr. Vineet Utpal’s book ‘Social Media: Definition, Principles and Experiments’ was launched in Mount Abu. On the second day of the five-day Social Media Influencer Retreat organized by Brahma Kumaris, the institute’s Additional Administrative Officer Rajyogini BK Jayanti Didi, former Director General of Indian Institute of Mass Communication Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi, Public Relations Officer BK Komal, BK Pallavi, former Professor of Mumbai University E.V. Swaminathan launched the book.
On this occasion, Additional Administrative Officer Rajyogini BK Jayanti Didi congratulated and honored the author Dr. Vineet Utpal. She said that the release of this book on the occasion of Social Media Influencer Retreat is a matter of pride.
First book of its kind in Hindi: Prof. Dwivedi
Former Director General of IIMC, Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi said that this is the first book of its kind on the subject of social media in Hindi language. “It explains the definition and theory of social media along with its practical aspect in detail. This book is not only useful for journalists but also for social media influencers. Hindi medium students of various media institutes across the country were waiting for such a book on social media for a long time,” said Dwivedi.
The institute’s Public Relations Officer BK Komal said that this book will be very beneficial for media students of schools, colleges and various universities. Author Dr. Vineet Utpal said that the book is completely a text book and is based on his experience of studying journalism and teaching life for the last two decades. In this book, the syllabus of social media being taught in various universities of the country has been kept in mind.
The book is useful for candidates preparing for NET-JRF or other examinations.
