Special Correspondent/New York, USA. Senior journalist and Secretary General of the SAARC Journalist Forum, Md. Abdur Rahman, has been appointed as the Senior Vice Chairman of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC Trust), a global organization dedicated to the protection of human rights, social and economic development, and raising voices against injustice worldwide. He has been warmly congratulated and welcomed by the leadership of this United Nations-affiliated organization on his prestigious appointment.

Mission and Objectives of the Organization
The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC Trust) is a non-profit, non-political, and humanitarian organization committed to protecting human rights and human dignity across the world. Wherever human rights are violated or humanity is threatened, the organization strives to play an active and effective role. It continues to work tirelessly for the protection of fundamental rights and the socio-economic development of people in Bangladesh and around the globe.

Future Vision and Commitments
Under its new leadership, the Commission remains committed to achieving the following humanitarian and global objectives:
Countering Terrorism and Extremism
To promote global peace and stability by building strong legal and social resistance against all forms of terrorism, violence, and extremism.

Combating Corruption
– To uphold transparency and accountability in society by adopting a zero-tolerance policy against corruption.
– Protecting the Rights of Women and Children
– To safeguard the rights of disadvantaged women and children, ensure their overall development, and strengthen their safety and dignity in society.

Message from the Chairman
Advocate Anand Mahal Sarkar, Chairman of the International Human Rights Commission, expressed his optimism that under the visionary leadership of the newly appointed Senior Vice Chairman, Md. Abdur Rahman, the organization will move forward with greater strength and effectiveness in promoting and protecting human rights both in Bangladesh and around the world.
