Kathmandu. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi has paid a courtesy call on Finance Minister Janardan Sharma.
During a meeting at the Ministry on Friday, Finance Minister Sharma thanked China for its assistance and expressed confidence that Chinese assistance and goodwill would continue in the days to come.
Minister Sharma said that vaccinating the people against covid was a priority of the government and thanked China for providing 1.8 million doses of vaccine.
He expressed confidence that the Ambassador would assist and facilitate the process as the process for procuring more vaccines from China is underway.
During the meeting, Chinese Ambassador Hou congratulated the newly appointed Finance Minister Sharma and expressed the view that no matter which government comes, the Chinese policy and attitude towards Nepal will not change.
Talking about the good relations between the Chinese people and the Communist Party of Nepal and the political parties here, Ambassador Hou said that they have been with Nepal in the fight against the Covid epidemic.
