Kathmandu. CPN-UML MP Bhim Bahadur Rawal has said that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is not in Nepal’s interest.
Speaking at a special session of the House of Representatives today, Rawal said various treaties were signed when the country’s politics was unstable.
“From here, I would like to say to the House and patriotic Nepalis. The agreement that has been tabled in the House. There have been other secret agreements,” he said during his address in parliament.
He also questioned that the Former Prime Ministers released press statement previously to said that it was a sign of external interference.
“Nepal should not be in any military alliance but about MCC, US ministers have repeatedly said it is a military strategy,” he accused.
Some of the provisions in it are inconsistent with the constitution and the law, Rawal has said.
