Chorten will be built in memory of Late Netra Bahadur Tamang

Nuwakot. Chorten is going to be built in memory of the late Netra Bahadur Tamang. Raju Lama, the eldest son of Tamang, the coordinator of the proposed Netra Memorial Foundation, has informed that a chorten is going to be built in the memory of late Netra Bahadur Tamang in Lakure, Kakani Rural Municipality 5, Nuwakot.“Our venerable father late Netra Bahadur Tamang has made an incomparable contribution to the political, social, cultural and religious changes of Nuwakot and Kakani. To keep his contribution alive in the society, we have decided to build Chorten in his memory. We hope that the construction of Chorten will be supported by all aspects of the society and harmony will be achieved,” the Lama said.Lama’s father Netra Bahadur Tamang passed away at the age of 77 on 25th of October, 2023. Suffering from asthma for a long time and lung cancer recently, Tamang has two wives, seven daughters and six sons. Tamang’s 49 days rituals will be do according to Buddhist culture on the 24th and 25th of Mangshir at his residence in Lakure, Kakani Rural Municipality 5, Nuwakot.
