Washington. In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed that the United States and Iran are engaged in communication through intermediaries to navigate the ongoing conflict.

Rubio emphasized that President Trump remains committed to a diplomatic resolution, noting that previous opportunities for peace were bypassed by the Iranian regime’s decision to prioritize funding regional militias, such as Hezbollah and Hamas, over its own citizens.

While the US continues strategic operations alongside Israel, Washington remains watchful for internal shifts in Tehran that could lead to a future under different leadership.
