Washington. US President Donald Trump reiterated that Iran must not be allowed nuclear weapons, calling it the central issue in any talks.
He praised Pakistan’s leadership, describing its role in facilitating diplomacy as “terrific” and highlighting constructive engagement.
Earlier, Trump cancelled a planned envoy trip to Islamabad, saying “we have all the cards”, and insisted Iran must take the initiative to resume talks.
Despite the cancellation, Washington signalled diplomacy remains open, with Pakistan still viewed as a potential venue for future engagement.
