Washington, D.C. | May 7, 2026 — Ahead of Mother’s Day, Donald Trump and Melania Trump welcomed America’s military mothers to the White House for a special celebration honoring their sacrifice, strength, and dedication to the nation.
Held at the White House, the event brought together military mothers, spouses, and service families from across the country. The gathering recognized the important role military families play in supporting U.S. service members during deployments and times of conflict.
In her remarks, First Lady Melania Trump praised the resilience of military mothers and paid tribute to families who have lost loved ones in service to the country. She said mothers “build the moral foundation of our families” and called them “the soul of our nation.”
