Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said constitution gives the right to dissolve the Parliament and go for a fresh mandate if there is no alternative to form a new government.

Addressing the National Assembly, Prime Minister Oli said that Article 76 (7) of the Constitution has given the right to go for a fresh mandate if an alternative government cannot be formed.

“Article 76 (7) of the constitution gives the right to dissolve the Parliament and go for a fresh mandate if there is no possibility of forming an alternative government. I have decided to use the same right to go for a fresh mandate,” PM Oli said.

He has stated that he has decided to dissolve the Parliament based on the article of the constitution as there is no possibility of forming an alternative government.

Prime Minister Oli has been arguing that he would go for a fresh mandate as per the constitution as he had 64 percent of the votes till the dissolution of the House of Representatives and only 36 percent of the votes are against him.
