Washington, July 11 — U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Iran, declaring that the United States is prepared to launch overwhelming military retaliation if Tehran attempts to assassinate him or carries out attacks against U.S. interests.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that “1,000 missiles are locked and loaded” and said he had already authorized plans for a large-scale response if Iran were to act against him. He stated that any such attack would bring devastating consequences for Iran.

The warning comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran following renewed regional instability and reported public calls in Iran for retaliation against Trump. Analysts say the latest remarks further increase concerns over a possible escalation in the Middle East, even as diplomatic efforts continue.

The Iranian government has not yet issued a detailed official response to Trump’s latest statement.
