Government formed negotiating team on coordination of Home Minister Thapa to hold talks with NCP Biplav group

Kathmandu. The government has formed a two-member negotiating team under the coordination of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ to hold talks with the Communist Party of Nepal (Biplav group).

According to Spokesperson of the government and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung, the Prime Minister’s Foreign Adviser Dr.  Rajan Bhattarai is a member.

A few days ago, the rebel group announced in a statement that it was ready to hold talks with the government.

Government representatives have also been in informal contact with party leaders. The formation of a team to negotiate with the government and the NCP (Biplav group) has been viewed positively.
