Release of “Modi@DU” book

The book preserves the memory and shows the path to the society: Prof. K.P. Singh

New Delhi. Delhi University Prof. The book ‘Modi at DU’ written by K.P. Singh was released at the Vice Regal Hall of Delhi University. In the release ceremony, Suresh Jain, Jagdish Mittal, Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof. Yogesh Singh and Vice Chancellors of other universities were also present.

Describing the book as a historical document, Suresh Jain said that apart from being a mirror of the mind, books are also protectors of social expression. Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof. Yogesh Singh said that the tradition of documentation is not very established in modern India and we fail to document things. He said that earlier this tradition may have been well organized in India, but now there is a need to establish it in a systematic manner. While presiding over the release programme of the book “Modi@DU” written by Singh.On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that this book is a documentation of the centenary year celebrations of Delhi University. Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh said that when there was a discussion on organizing the centenary year celebrations of Delhi University, we tried to look at the documents related to the programs that would have been organized on the completion of 25 years, 50 years and 75 years of the university so that the programs could be organised. Can get help in; But no further information regarding those programs was available in the university. Therefore, it was decided that all the events and things related to the celebration of the centenary year should be documented. The above book is a good document in the same series which will prove to be very beneficial in the coming years.

Discussing the contents of the book, he said that a lot of interesting material has been stored inside it, from pictures to written form. The Vice Chancellor said that this book tells the story of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival and 100 years of history in Delhi University. Through this, the reactions of the teachers here on the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Delhi University along with the development journey of the university have been saved in an interesting manner. After Modi’s arrival, the sentiments expressed by the teachers of Delhi University for Prime Minister Modi through social media have also been saved in the same manner in the book.

The Vice Chancellor asked Prof. for writing the book. K.P. While congratulating Singh, he also congratulated the entire team of DU for successfully organizing and conducting the centenary celebrations. Along with this, he appealed that everyone may have many memories related to one year of the centenary year, they should write them down. During the program, Bharat Vikas Parishad’s National Organization Minister Suresh Jain and Rashtriya Kavi Sangam President Jagdish Mittal also addressed as special guests.

At the conclusion of the program, Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta presented the vote of thanks. During this, he also gave detailed information about the activities and preparations related to the centenary year celebrations. At the beginning of the program, the author of the book, Prof. K.P. Singh welcomed the guests. On this occasion, Director of Southern Campus of Delhi University, Prof. Shri Prakash Singh and Dean of Colleges Prof. Many dignitaries including Balram Pani were present.
