Islamabad, Pakistan — Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, arrived in Islamabad on Friday with a small delegation to discuss proposals for restarting peace talks with the United States.
The visit comes as Pakistan continues its role as a mediator between Iran and the US following an earlier round of talks that failed to reach a final agreement.
Araghchi is expected to hold high-level meetings with Pakistani leaders, focusing on regional tensions and diplomatic solutions to revive negotiations.
However, Iranian officials have indicated that no direct talks with US representatives are currently planned, and discussions may take place indirectly through Pakistan.
The visit is seen as a key step toward reducing tensions and restarting dialogue between Iran and the United States.
While diplomatic efforts are ongoing, a clear breakthrough in US–Iran peace talks remains uncertain.
